The Spanish property market improves with an increase in sales and price. Latest data shows a total transaction of 27 560 * homes sold in Spain and in Marbella a 9% in 2015 almost back to the figures of transactions of 2006 when the market was in full expansion.
According to this figures, Costa del Sol is running ahead of the recovery comparing with the rest of Spain. Nearly 80% of property buyers are foreigners. Close to Costa del Sol are the destinations of Balearics and the Canary Islands.
Data also shows that prices are still 20% below from the peak in 2006, except famous location like beachside properties, where prices are already back to their peak.
The factors attributed to this improvement, especially in Marbella include still competitive prices, the euro weakness against different currencies, low-interest rates, good returns on property investments and the perception of Marbella as a safe location.
