Фуэнхирола находится примерно в 30 км от международного аэропорта Малаги и окружена муниципалитетами Михас и Бенальмадена. Есть почти исключительно жилые комплексы на побережье или пляже длиной около 7 километров, а предложение отдельно стоящих вилл рядом с пляжем очень мало.
